Concept mount selection menu
Now that we're getting mounts that all have unique skills and abilities we're also facing the problem of how we're going to quickly switch between different mount types.
I have to say I'm very unhappy with the current solution of "just add some more key binds!". This "solution" is far from future proof if they ever decided to add new mounts or mechanics to the game, and at the current rate I'm already starting to run low on sensible key combinations... so here's a "simple" (but hard to implement) solution: radial menus.
So how do these work? Let's say you've bound your mount key to Z:
- Press Z to mount and dismount your current mount just like you currently would.
- Hold Z a bit longer to bring up the menu and select a different mount by moving your mouse.
I even threw some of the assets in Photoshop and made a quick mock up of a Concept Mount Menu, and I really hope something like this will come to the game because I would have to spend less time fighting my keyboard and more time riding my mounts!

The size of a certain enemy compared to Tyria - Part 2: adding a body
Unlike yesterday's post this does not feature exact measurements but is more a "what if?" kind of thing I wanted to do, so it should be taken with a packet of salt.
Basically I took Primordus' skull, placed it somewhere on the map (this is to scale) and attached and scaled some bodies of known dragons to it. Result: damn.
So without further ado here are the results:
- Contemporary Dragon (Claw of Jormag, Tequatl, the Shatterer) - This is how Primordus is more or less depicted in GW1. Its wingspan would reach all the way from Divinity's Reach to Arah making it very hard to travel underground without ripping the planet apart.
- Snake-like Dragon (Mouth of Mordremoth) - Bit boring but would be able to travel underground. Would be half a zone wide.
- Bipedal Dragon (Pudgy Mordremoth, Quaggan) - This looks silly... why did I create this monstrosity....

The size of a certain enemy compared to Tyria
In the last story instance you get a glimpse of the head of Primordus. Seeing as it also shows up on your map I decided to overlay it with some locations in Tyria.
tldr: Primordus is big

Kryta - birds eye view
I've always wondered how the game would look like if it didn't have instanced maps. So I made a quick mashup of Queensdale, Divinity's Reach, Lake Doric, Gendarran Fields and Harathi Hinterlands in tyria3d.

Unused assets from the Scale Guide for Bookahs
When I make stuff like the scale guide I always go for overkill, so I'm sitting on 500mb+ of high resolution renders and thought it could be useful to share some of these.
They are all rendered with orthographic perspective (no depth) and without normal maps to get the more stylized look I wanted to have for the guide. Feel free to use them for any GW2 project of your own!

the Official Monster Scale Guide for Bookahs
A couple of days ago /u/Chiorydax made a funny post "comparing" the size of Zaithan and the Mouth of Mordremoth.
Of course I thought: why not do this for real? And why not crank it up a notch and include even more monsters? The end result: the Scale Guide for Bookahs (or: comparing big things to Kasmeer Meade)
