Guild Wars - Interactive Map

Celebrating 15 years of Guild Wars and 8 years of that_shaman today I've been hard at work to create a fully interactive map of Guild Wars 1.

Cantha and Elona will follow next week and the week after and once these are both online I'll make the tiles and json data available free for anybody to use!

the Historical Guide to Tyria Version 3 - Extended Map and Nightfall!

I've been working very hard on this brand new version of my guide for several weeks and with the new world map the historical guide has grown bigger than before, featuring:
  • Brand new world map!
  • Over 100 new PoI's, outposts and zone borders from Guild Wars Nightfall
  • Extra zoom levels and backwards compatibility with version 2 URLs
Small spoiler warning: this map includes this weekend's beta zone (but non of that leaked stuff)

Links and Info

Downloads will be available at a later stage, version 2 can still be found here. If some things appear off or the old map still shows: CTRL+F5 for a hard refresh or clear your cache.

Remastered map of Elona

Today marks the 10th anniversary of Guild Wars Nightfall.. and apparently everybody forgot about it. Anyhow, I decided today would be a great day to finish my map remastering project and release the final map.
Feel free to use it any way you see fit, enjoy!

Remastered map of Cantha

Happy 10th anniversary of Guild Wars Factions! (looks like everybody -including ArenaNet- forgot about this and focused on the 11th anniversary of Prophecies instead)
Just like I did before with Tyria's map I've remastered the map of Cantha for this special occasion

Remastered map of Tyria

The past few days I've spent a lot of time creating what I would like to call a "remastered" version of Tyria's map. I've used all the original tiles from the DAT file and with a bit of magic I've managed to create a sharper and more vibrant map.

Eye of the North development map

Another day another map from the DAT file. This time I've pieced together the development map from the Far Shiverpeaks and Charr Homelands. Some notable things:
  • They used a very crude version for its background
  • Tiles are different from the ones used in the final version (Kralkatorrik for example)
  • Dungeons are clearly visible in the overworld
Enjoy!

A couple of Guild Wars 1 maps I've made from the DAT file

Because I needed a lot of GW1 map related stuff for future projects (and most of the stuff on the wiki or google has marks on it or is way too compressed for my needs) I decided to stitch together some maps myself.
The first few I've made show the actual layout of the maps and what the game considers to be playable area (and can in theory be "unfogged"). It also shows the odd location of the EotN dungeon floors, the Underwold and the Fissure of Woe (they lobbed them south of Tyria and the Battle Isles)
The second map is an alpha map of the EotN Charr homelands I couldn't find anything about online. This one is still used as a placeholder backdrop for a couple of the dungeons.
